What is Acro Tumbling?
Acro-Tumbling is a very high-energy class that focuses on stamina, muscle strength, and flexibility through repetition of movement. Acrobatic Arts or "Acro" is the fusion of dance technique, athleticism, agility, and power through acrobatic skills.

How does Acro Tumbling differ from Gymnastics Tumbling?
Gymnasts perform hard-hitting single passes, whereas dancers will seamlessly incorporate a trick into their choreography without stopping in between tricks.

Gymnasts train on a sprung floor, with actual springs built into the mats: a forgiving surface to repeatedly practice advanced tumbling passes on over and over again. Acro Dancers perform on a hard stage and must train their bodies to withstand the impact of the floor.

What are the benefits of tumbling?
Doing acro-tumbling improves performance, both physically and mentally, which improves the body's general motor skills. This is great for your child's mobility and posture. Learning this complex skill so early in a child's life enhances their learning skills and their physical response times.

How long does it take to master a tumbling skill?
Learning a new skill in tumbling is a 6 to 24-month process for the average athlete.

A skill can only be taught once the basics can be done, eg. Side Arial can take longer than a year given the progression.
